95 v6 DOHC immobilizer HELP PLEASE

Post by lecheekster »

my 1st post so hi to all.
I had a incident where my 95 paj DOHC camshaft sensor wire was sectioned and shorted.
this blew the green fuse -40A in the engine fusebox.
1) i repaired the wire but it refuses to start.
2) i put in new OE mits cam sensor- it wont start
3) i put in new OE crank sensor- it wont start
4) i put in good USED ECU- it wont start
5) i put in good USED double relay fuel pump near ECU- it wont start
-ALL fuses are good
6) airflow meter has 1000kms on it- oe new.
7) new OE ignition transistor unit- it wont start but sparks.

I'm running out of solutions now.
I am looking at the immobilizer as possibly blown--
there is a 'MPI DIODE" in the schema- could this be it?
looking at the ecu connector the yellow wire on pin 42 on the schema comes from the immobilizer- i am guessing this is the comms to the ECU so it will start.
1) are the immobilizer and ECU coded together? not interchangeable?
2) what signal should i be getting on this comms yellow wire to ECU ( i have a handheld oscilloscope)
3) can the immobilizer be DELETED?- If so HOW?
4) how can i resolve this issue?- i have good tools, i can read schemas, plenty of vehicle electrical and wiring exp.
I need the pajero off the driveway.
Thanks for any help.

ECU and immobiliser are usually coded together.

It's serial, cant remember the baud rate.
Was a few years ago when I last looked at ECU <--> Immob comms

If the ECU is reflashable (usually plastic cased, processor within the case will be a 7202 or 7203) and you've got access to an Openport cable, you can bypass the immobiliser.
