EvoScan 1.3U Universal USB Datalogging and Reflashing Cable

Post by Mechanic Dave » 29 Jul 2019, 20:37

My cable came today but I can't read the ECU for some reason.

Have tried on three cars, two KJ's and a TJ with series2 KJ ECU....
Have tried with two different laptops win10 and win7.

Have EcuFlash set on 2001-2005 Mitsubishi ALL 3rd Gen/EVO7-8 MH8206F

Heres the log file:

I think I've seen this before: as I recall it can happen if you forget to switch the ignition ON when prompted, or when the reflashing connector (the white 12 pin connection with only 1 pin wired) hasn't been plugged in.

I've found things work most reliably when the OpenPort is plugged into the diagnostic connector before being plugged into the laptop.
