need help with H8 ecu

Post by stumagoo » 30 Mar 2019, 10:05

I have been slowly trying to decipher the NL Pajero h8 ecu its taken some time but I have found enough to get me into trouble...

WHat I have not been able to find is the TPSvs revs /open loop field - I have the Revs part I believe but the TPS % is elluding my search.... has anyone got the ability to have a look for it if I send them some files...

Cheers Stu

If your ROM is from an MD346007 ECU with internal ID 21330005, I believe the table you're looking for has the data start at offset 0x19D2 (ECUFlash address 119d2) with 12 single byte elements. In this ROM the values for the 12 element RPM axis table used in the open loop table start at offset 0x1B720 (ECUFlash address 2b720).

Cheers,
Andy.

You are a champ - that looks good to me - It is a little higher than the Magna equivalent and gels with what I am logging.... the air flow from the supercharger is bringing me more load at lower throttle and its not kicking into open loop on partial throttle soon enough - it does after a few seconds of registering air flow but I can keep it at the 2500-3500 rpm and have 80% load and get pinging - I logged it and it should be going into open loop at 70% or so but the cross over point of the 2 maps is not quite there.... before boost it worked great and if I am on the dunes and using full noise (80% throttle +) its good but on the freeway or similar giving it partial throttle for a gentle speed increase to pass - say 50-60% throttle - its just a little too much air flow and holding afr in closed loop at 14.7 when it should be starting to richen it all up

Also rpm is 1b724 (ecu flash 2b724)

Again thanks very much

I get the impression that with boost you perhaps should be looking at/for the Accel Enrichment and Decel Enleanment tables for at least some of this control - see this EvoM thread for more info. I've put the tables I could find in the Magna ROMs in my most recent definition set and I'd expect that the NL ROM has most of the maps that are in the Magna ROMs.

it does have most the maps for sure - they are also on my list to look for, however I am cautiously optimistic now - just dropped 70 litres in to the tank (92 l tank) and had a good run on the freeway and its giving no signs of detonation - as I tried (and probably failed) to say before if I used half throttle on the freeway it would rattle its head off but full throttle it would not watching evoscan showed the difference while at the same revs and very much the same air flow was full throttle took me out of closed loop and 50% did not. the tables have 83% TPS as the threshold for those revs which would normally be fine - I have dropped it to 60 and smoothed the curve out either side and evoscan shows the openloop is now coming on much more as I would expect. there may be a little more fine tuning - this first change was just proof of concept
